Guttridge Case Study

Guttridge Limited is the leading UK manufacturer of Bulk Powder Handling Machinery. Originally known as Guttridge Feed Services Ltd, they were founded in 1962 and the Company grew rapidly throughout the 1960s. Later they began to concentrate on the design and manufacture of bulk materials handling machinery and by the late 1980s Guttridge developed a new specialist range of stainless steel machinery for handling foods, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.  In January 2000 Guttridge moved into a new purpose-built 4,000m2 factory and offices in a prestigious location on Spalding's Wardentree Lane Industrial Estate.

In July 2012, Burningsuit were approached by the IT department at Guttridge to provide Microsoft Office 2010 Upgrade training for approximately 60 users at their site in Spalding.  The requirement was for half-day courses to groups of eight people using laptops provided by Burningsuit.  Guttridge were happy to leave the decision of the course content to Burningsuit’s experience and expertise.

The training was delivered over four consecutive days in August 2012. The half-day courses covered the most important changes in Microsoft Office 2010; the Ribbon, the Quick Access Toolbar, Contextual Tabs and issues of compatibility.   Although essentially it was a “one-size fits all” course, depending on the skill level of the attendees, the trainer modified each course to address the differing requirements of individual users and the feedback showed the attendees appreciated and benefited from this individual approach.

“The delivery of the training sessions by Burningsuit was excellent and tailored to our requirements. As a result our Office 2010 migration was a smooth one and as a measure of the quality of the delivery and accompanying reference guides we have had minimal queries since its delivery. Very satisfied and highly recommended”
